Installing your van racking system
You can choose to install the van racking system in your car yourself. In this case we will send the interior to you or you can pick up the interior
from us in Den Hoorn.
Self-assembly after pickup or shipment
Correct installation not only prolongs the life of the device, but more importantly ensures safety while driving.
- Make sure the fixture is completely flat on the floor and, depending on its position, connects to the wall and/or headboard with as many sides as possible. This gives the most stability.
- Always secure the rack with sufficient brackets. A firm fastening prevents slipping and increases safety.
- Mount both brackets high and low to ensure the most complete attachment possible and to optimally distribute forces while riding.
- Use spring washers at each joint for extra strength and to prevent loosening.
- Always mount the brackets against the body, using collar nuts instead of parkers. This ensures a durable, solid and vibration-resistant assembly. Parkers lack this durability and can give clearance over time.
- Never place the brackets against wooden or plastic wall coverings. If necessary, use an oscillating saw to make a neat recess.
